mulled cider
Ingredients:
1½ L dry cider
7 Tbs Salted Caramel Vodka
400ml apple juice
75g dark brown sugar
50g salted butter
1 orange, juice and rind needed
8 whole cloves
3 cinnamon sticks, broken in half
1 tbsp allspice berries
4 star anise
Method:
Pour the cider, Salted Caramel Vodka, apple juice, butter and sugar into a large saucepan, and gently heat to mull.
Stir regularly on medium heat until warm and the butter has melted. Add the juice of the orange, and peel the rind in ling strips.
Add the orange rind and spices, bringing to a simmer, before turning down and keep on a low heat for 20-30 mins. Ladle into glass mugs to serve.
